Sixdof Selects Newsight’s NSI3000 CMOS Image Sensor for Advanced 6DOF Positional Tracking
The companies will collaborate to implement the next-generation sensor chip for VR/AR, drones and automotive applications.
March 12, 2018 Jerusalem/ Ness Ziona, Israel — Sixdof Space today announced the selection of Newsight Imaging’s NSI3000 sensor for its advanced 6DOF positional tracking solution. The advanced sensor was chosen following benchmarking and successful proof-of-concept. Sixdof and Newsight are collaborating on the development of a high-sensitivity, cost-effective, NSI3000-family sensor, which will be customized for OEM mass production of systems that use Sixdof Space’s positional tracking technology.
